For fans of digital publications, CBR format is to comics what ePub is for traditional books: one of the most popular formats and accepted in the wider community for reading scanned comics. A CBR file (short for Comic Book Reader) is basically a series of compressed images and scheduled to appear in the correct order, allowing the reading of pages scanned in a much more natural and with an experience similar to flipping through printed paper.
