Decreasing the size of a device does not mean to make it more limited. Apparently this was the idea that entered the head of Sony engineers to develop the Xperia Z1 Compact, the company presented new smartphone during CES 2014. It will go on sale from February, though it’s price is yet to confirm. Announced in four different colors (white, black, pink and lime), the device has a 20.7 MP camera, Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.2 GHz, NFC and 2300 mAh battery, and offers 16 GB internal storage (supported up to 64 GB micro SD).
Another striking feature of the device besides being a few millimeters thinner than the Xperia Z1 is that it is water resistant (you can keep it submerged to 1.5 m for a maximum of 30 minutes). Xperia Z1 Compact also features the Xperia Transfer application that allows you to transfer contacts, photos, music, messages, and other files from an old device to the new smartphone from Sony.
