Can you think of a single day without internet? Well I think you can, but it will seems to you like you are passing a decade in a single day….if you don’t have internet. And to get into this portion, you must need a key that is internet browser. So here I am sharing some good internet browser for windows computer. But first let’s know what is internet and also what is internet browser.

What is Internet?

Well obviously It’s so common word today as it doesn’t need any introduction. But let us know it’s definition.

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of millions of private, public, academic, business, and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to support electronic mail.

What is Internet Browser?

In simple words, An internet browser is a third party tool that help you to get access into the vast area of virtual world.

In that case, A internet browser is a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.

Although browsers are primarily intended to access the World Wide Web, they can also be used to access information provided by web servers in private networks or files in file systems.

So now be introduced with some internet browser for windows.

Mozilla Firefox

Firefox browser from Mozilla is the most popular browser now. It’s a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite and managed by Mozilla Corporation. As of March 2011, Firefox is the second most widely used browser with approximately 30% of worldwide usage share of web browsers.

Mozilla Firefox 4 provides a great speed with a lot of advanced support. The most amazing option of Firefox is “Add-On”s. When you need something that’s not available in normal browser, then search for it in Add-On’s world and most probably you will get it.

It’s one of the best browsers for both experts and amateurs.

Google Chrome

Google Chrome is A product from Google. It’s a web browser developed by Google that uses the WebKit layout engine. It was first released as a beta version for Microsoft Windows on September 2, 2008, and the public stable release was on December 11, 2008. The name is derived from the graphical user interface frame, or "chrome", of web browsers. As of April 2011, Chrome was the third most widely used browser with 12% worldwide usage share of web browsers, according to Net Applications.

Google Chrome will give you an awesome experience on web browsing. It has a great HTML5 support and extra extension support.

Apple Safari

The previous version of Safari for Windows dramatically changed the nature of the browser from something of an unfinished curiosity to an alternative with seriously quick chops. It lacked many of the customization features that define most other browsers, but certain unique default features, such as the visually impressive, Cover Flow-inspired Top Sites and history viewing, made it worth checking out for more users besides just browser enthusiasts and jaded reviewers.

Though Safari 5 continues the push for speed, able to surpass (by some tests) bleeding-edge JavaScript engines from Google and Opera, Apple continues to place feature development farther down the totem pole of importance. That doesn't mean that new features have been ignored. There's the new Reader option that streamlines how you read articles, broader support for HTML5, default support for searches on Bing, and performance improvements. However, the biggest new feature of them all--Extensions--won't be available until later this summer according to Apple, and depending on what you're looking for in a browser, Safari can be seen as lacking many helpful options.

RockMelt

RockMelt is a web browser based on Open Source Project Chromium (Like Google Chrome). What’s Best in This Browser? Well, The Browsing Speed is Quite Slow With it But it has a integrated Facebook Chat and Twitter/Facebook Social Notification Bar What’s Make it Truly Amazing.

And Another Great Feature is “Search Faster”. Last but not least, RockMelt makes search faster. And better. We got tired of clicking back and forth trying to find the right search result. So we made search as simple as leafing through a magazine. With RockMelt, you can use your keyboard to flip through Google search results and pick the one you want. Super fast. Super cool.

CometBird

CometBird is A Mozilla Base web-browser with some pre-added add-ons to make your internet easier, faster and safer. The outstanding CometBird Web browser is secure, speedy, and totally free; its specially designed features will change the way you use the Web. The upgraded version is even more effective in both performance and privacy protection.

The bookmarks auto-synchronizer enables you to use same bookmarks collection anytime and anywhere; Thousands of customizing options are available for personalizing your own CometBird; Powerful security and privacy protection techniques will create a clean browsing environment for you; and its unique password manager and smart address bar will facilitate your browsing and logging in process!

Maxthon

If anyone of you have tried it, then you might wonder why it’s not in one of the top browsers! Yeah, it has all resource to get around in the top list and I am sure it will be soon. Maxthon will offer you a great speed with some outstanding unique features like RSS Feed Widget, Quick Access, Downloader (Like A Stand-Alone One), Super Gesture (Use gesture to create, close and switch tabs without clicking. Create your own gestures in Advanced Settings) And Many Others.

Maxthon has also a mobile version for android too. If you leave it, you are surly going miss something great!

Opera

Though Opera is one of the most popular web browser, but I hardly use it. Well, I don’t like it’s browsing style and for me, it’s very slow (Many Of You Might Say That I am Wrong, But it’s my personal expression about opera). But the latest opera 11 is quite different. It’s faster then the previous version. Opera is a must have browser for any mobile and if you are a mobile addicted guy, then you must need opera in your pc too. The best thing of opera is it will compress your data use and reduce your internet cost. Thus you might find that it’s faster.

That’s All For Now. There were another Internet Browser I really liked. It was “Flock”. But Unfortunately Support for Flock browsers has been discontinued.
