Android Rapid Snap : GO Launcher EX is Another Homescreen Replacement App

We have shared a lot of launcher app for Android like LauncherPro, Regina 3D Launcher, MIUI Launcher and some more. All of them have there own unique features and techniques to attract users attention. We are not rating any of them but if you are really awfully bored with your Android’s default interface, then GO Launcher is a must try launcher app for you. This comes from the same developer of our previously reviewed “GO SMS Pro” and “Go Contact EX”. This tool is free yet powerful Android homescreen replacement solution and you shouldn’t just pass behind this. Apart from many other cool and attractive features, it supports additional themes and widget (like message widget, Facebook widget etc.) which make this app more handy and customizable. From the get-go, GO Launcher seems similar to LauncherPro and ADW. You can have up to 3 rows of docks, which you move through by gesture-flicking left or right. I’ve turned this off, as I prefer a dock that stays constant. It adds the familiar dock to the bottom of your Android home screen that is both customizable and scrollable. More after the break.

After the first look, GO Launcher EX will surly make you think that this comes from the LauncherPro. They have very similar docks across the bottom of the screen, and you can scroll it left or right just like in LauncherPro. Both allow you to customize the dock, both in what shortcuts you can place there and how they’ll respond to a swiping gesture. But LauncherPro have some drawbacks. Also like LauncherPro, you can customize the number of homescreens on GO Launcher EX but it will offer you far more advanced features then LauncherPro. It has plenty of customizable options as well. So with all the similarities, ease of usage makes Go Launcher different from LauncherPro,

Tips:

1. Pinch fingers to enter preview screen and edit home screen pages
2. Search “go launcher theme” to get themes and select them in “Themes preferences”
3. Set screen transition and flip speed in “Display settings”
4. Long press icons on home screen to active popup menu
5. Long press icons in app drawer to edit location, uninstall apps and create folders
6. If you can't set GO Launcher as your default home, download "Home manager"

Overall, this is an excellent replacement for the default Android home screen with lots of features and customization options. At the time of this review the GO Launcher EX Android App is free. Thumbs Up.
