Despite numerous attempts to create a smart watch, conventional models still dominating the market - a situation when Sony plans to come out with the XPERIA SmartWatch. Equipped with the Android operating system, this hi-tech watch not only monitors your smartphone as it is able to run your applications on a touch screen. The gadget has the ability to connect to any phone that has Android 2.1 or higher using Bluetooth technology, allowing management of links, contact lists and other functions. According to Sony, the device is capable of storing 255 widgets that provide access to functions ranging from checking the current time and temperature verification to messages posted on Twitter and lot more.
The battery of SmartWatch is capable of running the gadget up to 4 days at a stretch, usually impressive for a device equipped with the portable operating system from Google. Those who are interested in this watch will be able to buy it by the end of 1st quarter of 2012 at a price of $149. Pretty expensive yet it can be one of the best accessories of the year.
