Talk.to is an instant messenger client for you to chat with your friends on Facebook, Gtalk or Pingpong from anywhere. This cross-platform tool supports Windows, Android, iPhone and as well as for Mac and Linux tool with a Chrome extension. With it, you can open a chat window with your contacts without having to access the pages of services, from the desktop of your computer. It is not necessary to have an account of the program, but the services you want to use through it.  Talk.to is a good application for you to have a conversation with the contacts of the supported services without having to stay on their page. In the case of Gtalk, it represents a window well organized and more user friendly than that integrated with Google Mail. The emoticons are limited, but the same would happen if you used the original window in Gmail. The same goes for Facebook, Gtalk in, you can still open a new window in chat, something that is not possible in the social network. Pidgin , An Open Source Cross-Platform Chat Client You Should Try

We have shared two cross platform chat application previously. Those are Nimbuzz and InstantBird. Today we are covering another great open source chat client called Pidgin. Pidgin (formerly known as Gaim) is a multi-protocol instant messaging client for BSD and Windows. It is compatible with AIM (Oscar and TOC protocols), ICQ, MSN Messenger, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, and Zephyr networks. Pidgin users can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AOL Instant Messenger, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time. It also goes beyond that and provides many unique features. imo.im For Android : Supports Every Major IM And Also It’s Ad Free!

Instant messaging (IM) is a form of real-time direct text-based communication between two or more people using personal computers or other devices, along with shared clients. The user's text is conveyed over a network, such as the Internet. More advanced instant messaging software clients also allow enhanced modes of communication, such as live voice or video calling. Almost everyone on the globe is using it. Since the invention of the Internet and e-mail, people have stopped exchanging letters and started to exchange e-mails. As instant that was, we wanted something more instant. Enter instant messaging. And now, with every device connected to the Internet, people want to take their IM clients everywhere. What do you use to stay constantly connected to your IM accounts? I’ve been using imo instant messenger for a while now and I’d like to share my thoughts about it. It’s one of the best IM clients for Android I’ve tested so far, with a clean user interface and multiprotocol support and what I like the most, it’s free and ad-free!

The good thing of imo instant messenger is, it’s one of the best multiprotocol chat client that I’ve used so far. It supports all major chat protocols, including Skype (big plus for that). The interface is very user friendly, simple and easy to use. User settings are very tidy and few (which in this case is a good thing). Let’s not forget that this app is free and ad-free. Thumbs up for developers that create apps for people, that’s a good plus point!

The only downside is that you can’t change you profile icon (on any protocol). A slight inconvenience, but not a major set-back. It could be if you change your picture often, I do sometimes, so in my opinion it is a feature that should be included.

InstantBird Out Of Beta Now : A Featured Cross Platform Chat Client For Windows, Mac And Linux

Are you familiar with this Cross Platform chat client named “InstantBird”? If not, then probably you have missed some great source of entertainment. Well, now you have a good news. Although it took four years but the final version of InstantBird is here now. InstantBird v1.0 has been released to the public. This release brings better cross-platform support, Windows 7 Jumplist support to quickly change status message, Twitter support and much more. Windows 7 users will appreciate the Aero Glass Effect and find similarities to Firefox 4 Tab styling. InstantBird can now merge contacts; if you talk with the same person across various IM platforms, you can combine a list usernames under one account. Java Collection-4 : Java File Manager Ins And Outs

Previously I have written about “Java Internet Browser” and “Java Instant Messenger”. This is the third post where I am giving to an option to choose the best file manager for your Java phone. So let's start.

 

What is A File Manager?

A file manager or file browser is a program that provides a user interface to work with file systems. The most common operations performed on files or groups of files are: create, open, edit, view, print, play, rename, move, copy, delete, search/find, and modify attributes, properties and permissions. Files are typically displayed in a hierarchy. Some file managers contain features inspired by web browsers, including forward and back navigational buttons.

Some file managers provide network connectivity via protocols, such as FTP, NFS, SMB or WebDAV. This is achieved by allowing the user to browse for a file server (connecting and accessing the server's file system like a local file system) or by providing its own full client implementations for file server protocols.

 

Why Do I Need A File Manager For My Phone?

Sometimes you might want to copy/cut/paste multiple files. You will find it difficult to do directly via your phone. Or what if you what to hide a file (or folder) or make it read/write protected. Most of the java phones don’t provide such option.

By using a File Manager, you can do such action clearly and easily. Again a Java phone do not support Compressing (Or Decompressing) a file. But you can do it easily by a File Manager, You can also share your files, manage Bluetooth Connections, preview Pictures, play Audio Files or watch a movie clip. Some file manager also support editing Pictures, Text/Hex editing, Reading News and PDF file even Download Manager Too.
