Black Holes Created in a Lab Proves the Theory of Stephen Hawking That Radiation 'Does' Escape From It

Black Hole is a region in space where the gravitational force is so strong that nothing can leave the region. 42 year ago, Stephen Hawking predicted that black holes shrink because they emit electromagnetic radiation. Since then, this prediction was nothing but a theory as the radiation is too weak to observe using the technologies available today. But as science evolves, the mysteries that involve black holes begin to be revealed. What Stephen Hawking hypostasized back in 1974, is confirmed after all these years. A survey published recently in Nature Physics confirmed the theory and showed that, in some way, it is possible to escape the from the black hole.

The researchers also point out that knowing the structure of the Moon is essential to understand the changes since its formation of about 4.5 billion years.

Theory Of Stellar Evolution Could Be Incorrect–Dazzling Suggestion Rediscovered From Old Newspaper

You would probably remember what you studied in school about the process of evolution of stars, but the information you know may be incorrect or at least incomplete,as it is believed by a team of Australian research. Simon Campbell, specialist of stellar theory from Monash University, found evidence in old papers which suggests that some stars do not follow the pattern as they should follow according to science. Until now, scientists believed that mass stars similar to the Sun pass through a phase at the end of their lives that would occur in a huge burning of nuclear fuel, which would cause much of the mass of the stars were lost in the form of dust and gases.

10 Air-Craft With Absolutely Peculiar Design Structure That Came To Fly

When you think of airplanes, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Those huge structures that serve to transport people from one side of a planet to another side, as the incredible jets that only the billionaires can afford to buy and keep in the garage or perhaps the old war planes that went down in history? However, beyond the conventional ones, there are also experimental models, whose are so strange in structural concept that you would never thought they maybe able to even get off the ground. So, get ready to be surprised with a list of peculiar aircraft that although very strange in design and other, but has been able to fly - even for just a measly meters or minutes - at some point in their existence:

Scientists Produced Body Parts (Ear) Using 3D Printer [Science]

According to a statement released by Chronicle Online, a group of bioengineers of Cornell University, USA and medical institution is producing body parts through 3D printers in the lab. According to the publication, the researchers used animal ears and tails as "ink" or raw material and the final result is virtually identical to a human ear. The first step of the process involves printing a mold in the shape of the human ear which takes about a day to get ready - that is then filled by a sort of gel, developed from collagen obtained from the tail of mice and cartilage derived from cow's ear.

Curiosity begins digging for water in Martian soil [News]

After six months in the Martian soil, the Curiosity robot finally started drilling and analysis of rocks on Mars. On Saturday morning (09/02/2013), NASA released an image into a Twitter account dedicated exclusively to the mission. The picture showed a small hole on the Martian surface, measuring about 1.60 cm in diameter and 6.35 inches deep. The site chosen for the mission was the Gale Crater, since images suggest that once housed its surface water at some point.

ESA-Project-to-built-perfect-3D-printed-Lunar-base-made-with-local-soil-[News]The dream of colonizing the moon is old, but it never seems ready to leave the paper. Still, that does not stop scientists and engineers as well as dreamers to build lunar bases for projects that would be realistic and practical. The Foster + Partners firm has partnered with the European Space Agency to develop a model lunar base which would be cheap, safe and quick to be built. The Trumps are using 3D printers to create the coating of houses and use the satellite's own natural soil as a building material.

Astronomers Witness The Greatest Explosion Of A Black Hole Ever Recorded [News]

Astronomers-Witness-The-Greatest-Explosion-Of-A-Black-Hole-Ever-Recorded-[News]According to National Geographic, a group of astronomers detected the largest explosion of a black hole ever recorded. According to the publication, the event recording has reached a magnitude of at least five times larger than any other studied before this occurrence. The black hole in this explosion is located about 11.5 billion light-years from Earth, has a Supermassive mass equivalent to 1-3 billion suns together, lying in the center of a quasar (a type of galaxy which is extremely bright and energetic). Astronomers are studying the explosion through the powerful telescopes of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Chile, measuring the speed and the properties of the outage materials.

NASA Finds Water On Mercury From Analysis Of Data Sent Via Spacecraft MESSENGER [News]

NASA-Finds-Water-On-Mercury-From-Analysis-Of-Data-Sent-Via-Spacecraft-MESSENGER-[News]-(1)Based on data obtained by the MESSENGER spacecraft, NASA confirmed that Mercury, the closest planet to the Sun, has water on its surface. And what to come surprise next is, this is not a small amount. According to the NASA, the planet has an abundant amount of ice and other frozen volatiles in polar craters. Despite the proximity to the sun and high temperatures recorded on the surface, the polar regions of Mercury didn't ever get sunlight yet because of the tilt of its axis of rotation, which has an angle of only 1 degree.

Astronomers Discover Planet Almost 13 Times Massive Than Jupiter [News]

Astronomers-Discover-Planet-Almost-13-Times-Massive-Than-Jupiter-[News]-(1)Although it may seem confusing, the picture below is one of those important moments for science, especially astronomy. With the help of Subaru Telescope located in Hawaii, scientists discovered a new exoplanet which is classified as super-Jupiter - the Kappa Andromedae b (Kappa And b, for short), as it was named, has a mass of 12.8 times more then Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. The planet is orbiting a star that is 170 light years from Earth. For scientists, this discovery is an interesting characteristics of the new star. As a new star, the Kappa And b has mass that puts it in the threshold between a massive planet and a brown dwarf. A division of "super-Jupiter", according to press release published by NASA, is used to keep both possibilities.
