Though it's not look like 3-D in Ubuntu, but it is a handy tool which can make your user experience with windows better and also help you to complete your tasks quickly and comfortably. Multi-Tabber is a small Windows software which will help you to add up to 10 additional virtual desktops. This is a useful tool for the people who always run many applications and sometimes they got busted with so many cluttered icons on system tray. So then Multi-Tabber can help them to arrange the running applications in a systematic way through some virtual desktop area and switch them immediately. The virtual tabs will appear just above the system icons on taskbar and will show numbers. You can switch by clicking on them. This can give your Windows PC a Ubuntu style work space-switching functionality.

Features

Version 1.0 of the Multi-Tabber contains features:

• Simulate a maximum of 10 virtual desktops.
• Option window that allows that contains an array of controls such as:
  • Controls for adjusting the virtual desktop panel.
  • Change the tab colors.
  • Set the number of Tabs.

Universal window which allows the user to exempt a specific application from all virtual desktops.

An option to hide or always place the virtual desktop panel on top.

Installation Requirements

• The Multi-Tabber application requires the following amount of resource in order to run properly.
• Hard Disk 2MB
• Ram 64MB
• .NET framework 4.0
• Minimum processor requirement 800 MHz

Usage

After installation, simply run the app from shortcut. You will see a system icon have just appeared. It displays different virtual desktop buttons above the taskbar immediately after run. You can click on any of the virtual desktop buttons to switch to them.

To add more numbers (Workspaces), simply right click on the system icon and click option. You can also customize the look of button and their position (Top, Left, Center, Right and Bottom of the desktop) from here.
