Bring Google+ On Your Desktop Via GClient

I haven't yet covered anything about Google+ yet as it’s available for 18+ age only. So after having an invitation, I have to wait for September 7th to be applicable for Google+ (I became 18 that day). That’s the reason behind. But Google+ will stay away from this blog no more. Today we are coving a great Desktop client for Google+ called GClient. This is the first Windows Google+ client. And one of the leading yet. It works from the system tray and allows you to use all Google Plus features from a desktop client instead of having to visit your Google Plus account from a browser. You can share your thoughts, get notifications and check out your circle’s post via this.

In order to use this free tool, you will need activation code from the developer. After installing, run it. On the 1st time procedure, you will be asked your E-Mail address, First & Last name. Provide those instructions and you will receive an E-Mail with the activation code.

Now check your mailbox for the activation code.

Paste that code in “Unlock Code” field and click on “Unlock Now”. You are now good to go.

Once you have activated your GClient, sign in to your Google account from the system tray.

You will now be signed in to your Google+ account. When you login to GClient, your stream is displayed, just like when you login to your Google Plus account from a browser.

To make a new share, click on edit icon from the top-right.

The home button will give you access to all of your Google+ features like stream, photos, circles, profile, notifications and edit your privacy settings.

You will also get a system tray notifications with alerts you for account updates.

GClient works on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, provided you have .Net Framework 4.0 installed.
