This is a portable application so you don’t need to install it. Just double click on the package file to run. This app comes with two language, one is Chinese (default) and another is English. While you run it, the interface language will show Chinese as default. Click on the icon from right-bottom to get English language.
Now to change the background image of Windows 8 start screen, click on the image just left to “Metro Background Image”. Then navigate and select your desired image.
Click on color option to change the metro background color.
Now select your desired color and press ok. Click on Apply to make change.
Now you will need to log off and then log on again to validate the changes. A pop up will appear to ask you whether you want to log off now or you will do this later. Click ok to automatically log off.
Windows 8 Start Tweaker supports PNG, BMP, JPG, GIF. According to the developer, the height of the image should be twice as high as the screen resolution to fill the entire screen. The color of the tile standard user (green) does not change by the Windows 8 Start Tweaker, but you can change the image tile User Control Panel. We hope to add that the developers will add a way to change the colors of the use of tiles in the next version.
