But what if you could be able to differentiate the same textures tapping your fingers on the screen of a smartphone or tablet? Isn’t that a genius idea which may create a whole new era in our daily entertainment and research work? It is an idea of researchers from Disney Research in the United States. During the event, SIGGRAPH 2012, they unveiled a new technology which is well still under development. This technology may be able to make this hypothesis a reality.
