How To Re-Install Your Sony Ericsson’s Phone Software And Fix It’s System Error [Featured]

Getting a great phone doesn’t mean you are free from worry. You have to take regular care of your device, use it responsibly and handle it gently. Even after following all rules to maintain your phone, it will become lazy day after day. That’s because, the more you will use it, the more junk it will held in his system. As a Sony Ericsson user, I have already reinstalled my phone’s software 4-5 times in 3years, Each time I reinstall it, my phone seems like  became a fresh one. So let’s know how to reinstall Sony Ericsson’s phone software.

We Will Need

1st we need Sony Ericsson Update Service (oh! That’s not the 1st! You will need a SE phone 1st!). You can download it from here. Currently this runs on Windows Operating System only. Can be Windows 7, XP, Vista (32-Bit & 64-Bit both). Download the software and install it.

Then also you will need a USB Cable.

Most important thing is, you need to have a working internet connection to fetch and install software.

How-To

Note: Please backup all of your phone’s data (Contacts, Messages and any files stored in phone memory) before proceed. Also make sure that your phone is fully charged.

Now after installing the Update Service, run it. It will check internet connection, then check for latest updates (will download automatically if any update found).

Then a list of all supported phones will be displayed. Select your phone from that list and then click next.

Now you will be displayed some information and to do list. All that is says to backup your phones data and recharge it. Ok, now switch of your device, Remove and then re-insert the battery, plug the USB side of the cable to a USB port and then connect your phone with cable while holding the “Specific Button You Are Asked” in your device.

After sometimes, you will see a message that “Release the C button”. You can now release the button. Update Service will check your phone and phone’s software.

If any update found, you will be notified. But if no update is available, yet you will get that notification too. You can reinstall your software whether an update is found or not. Just click on next.

You will now see that the Update Service is downloading phones software.

After finishing downloading, it will install the new software in you Phone.

After the installation is finished, you will be notified. Now remove the USB cable and switch your phone. You have a fresh Sony Ericsson device now.
