Auslogics Benchtown Allow To Rate Your PC’s Performance And Compare It With Others

Have you ever tried to determine your PC’s performance and rate it for comparing your PC's performance with your friends or to take a decision whether it's the perfect time to replace your PC or maybe just for curiosity? You can use the benchmark tool or Windows’s default performance report option. But a third party benchmarking tool is much more recommended. There are so many software available for Windows. Some of them are free and some of them are paid. Today we are going to cover a free benchmarking tool for windows. This is called “Auslogics Benchtown”. It will break your PCs performance after checking five things. Benchmark software is used to make those comparisons. These programs usually run a series of taxing tests to calculate the performance of specific PC components. This includes components like the processor, RAM, hard drive or video card. Auslogics Benchtown is a new benchmark for the Windows operating system that is currently available as a beta release. It is not clear at this point in time whether it will remain free after its final release. Just like Windows Index Experience, it gives you a score based on the performance of hardware components, which includes, CPU, RAM, HDD, 2D and 3D Graphics, 3D Gaming. However, the purpose is to find out whether your PC could perform faster with current software configurations of installed hardware or not. You can share your PC score on Auslogics online community, take suggestions to increase the processing speed and performance, and importantly find scores of others having same hardware specifications.

On the home screen, you'll see three tabs on the left panel. There are "Benchmark", "System Information" and "Program Settings". This program is designed to test the following components:

  • 2D Desktop Graphics
  • 3D Game Graphics
  • HDD Performance
  • Memory Speed
  • CPU Calculations

You can check/uncheck any one of them from settings menu. On default, it will test those five components. If you want to rate your PC immediately, just click on "Rate now". It will then start benchmarking. Note that this might take 5 to 10 min and during this time, it is recommended to close all other programs to get the most accurate rating. You might also feel some blinking during this test. Don't be afraid, everything will be back to normal after it has finished.
