Enjoy Coolest Navigation In Chrome By Mouse Through Smooth Gestures

Mouse gestures undoubtedly one of the coolest way to navigate and control anything. My most favorite browser “Google Chrome” has missed this is a great option. But that doesn't mean that you cannot add this to Google Chrome. There is a tiny and useful extension called Smooth gestures that will let you navigate through your browser using the right mouse click. The extension has come with some pre-added gestures and also you can add your own.

A help page is displayed to the user after installation. This page display the available mouse gestures that ship with the extension. All mouse gestures appear as a red line on your browser; to use any one of them visit the extension’s options and see which gestures do what. Any of the predefined gestures can be deleted or edited. Some basic gestures include going backward or forward one page in the current tab, closing a tab, opening a new tab, opening a link in a new tab, or moving to the previous tab. To close the current tab, hold down the right-click button and move your mouse from the top to down and then rightward. The extension options provide a complete detail of which gesture does what. To add or edit a gesture, go to the extension’s options. Click the plus sign next to a gesture to edit it or the cross sign to delete it.

To add or edit a gesture, click the plus sign and then define a shortcut or gesture for the action by holding down the right-click button. Once you release the mouse button, a smooth line will appear showing you the mouse movement you’ve made.

Save it if it came out looking the way you wanted it to by  clicking Add this gesture if you aren’t satisfied click Try again and have another go at it.

Additional settings are available at the bottom of the page. Here it is possible to backup and reset all settings, change or disable the mouse button that enables the drawing or to hide settings or the extension’s icon.

The configuration, especially the creation of new mouse gestures, is excellent and a straightforward process. The recognition rate of a user’s mouse gestures is excellent as well.

Users may want to consider removing existing mouse gestures that they will never use, to further decrease the chance of executing an action that they do not want to execute. It also frees up some of the easier gestures for other actions.
