This tips is quiet easy and simple then the previous trick. Here we will create a shortcut and we can be able to shutdown Windows instantly using that shortcut. So let’s get started.
- Right click on a empty area on desktop, and click on New and Shortcut.
- Now For a Instant Shut Down Computer Shortcut
- Type the location below into the location area, and click on the Next button.
shutdown.exe -s -t 00 -f
- Now give that shortcut a name and click Finish.
- Type the location below into the location area, and click on the Next button.
- Now For a Shut Down Computer Shortcut with a Specified Time-Out Period
- Type the location below into the location area, and click on the Next button.
- Paste the following code on the “Type For Location Of The Items” bar.
shutdown.exe -s -t ## -f
FOR EXAMPLE: Replace ## with the second value you want to wait before Shutting Down. I would type this below exactly to have a 20 second time delay.shutdown.exe -s -t 20 -f
- Right click on the new Shut Down Computer shortcut on the Desktop and click on Properties.
- Click on the Shortcut tab, then click on the Change Icon button.
- Now select the ShoutDown icon from that list an press OK. Then Apply and OK the settings.
- Click on the Shortcut tab, then click on the Change Icon button.
