Chameleon Shutdown is a lightweight software and its interface is quite simple. Once installed, run the software to get started. There are six options that may be encountered: Shutdown, Restart , Sleep, Hibernate, Lock and Log Off.
When you hover on any of these options (take your mouse over any of them), your will find to option to do with that action. Those are Right Now and With Parameters. Right Now will perform that action instantly and With Parameters will allow you to create and configure scheduled option.
So if you want to perform that action instantly, click on Right Now and if you want to perform that action under some condition, then hit With Parameters option. Then you can choose conditions or functions under which your system will perform that action (e.g. you will shutdown your PC after 10 minutes if system have been idle for 4 minutes etc.). You can set action performing condition/parameter from Delay (Perform action e.g. Shutdown after some delay), Specific Time (Perform action e.g. Shutdown at a fixed time), Idle Time (Perform action e.g. Shutdown if system is idle for a specified time), CPU Usage (Perform action e.g. Shutdown if your CPU usage remain under a specific amount for a pre-determined time) and Closure of a Program (Perform action e.g. Shutdown after closing a specific program). By checking Force if Hung, your system will be forced to shutdown if it become hang.
Click on More to enter to the additional setup options. You can apply multiple condition to perform an action from here. You can also select either And or Or logical condition to execute it. Like if you need to shutdown your system either at a specific time or after closing a program or even after the both. You just need to add those conditions and determine correct logic under Logical condition for execution field. After finishing, click Start.
