Microsoft has added several new features to their Windows 7 operating system. Those features just made the XP and vista users to through away there current OS and switch to 7. No offense, the most notable updates of Windows 7 are those visual upgrades. These new features include the Aero Snap and Aero Shake options that allow the user to snap windows to the corner of the computer screen or to minimize all other Windows by shaking the mouse. All those features makes nothing but getting deep sign from the users who can’t upgrade there PC to Windows 7. But there is a tool which can make XP/Vista users happy. That is AquaSnap. AquaSnap brings those two features to those two operating systems. The program calls them AquaSnap and AquaShake which basically ports the Windows 7 features to the operating systems. The Aero umbrella. Aero Snap, Aero Shake, and Aero Glass do nothing less than make Windows 7 competitive with Apple's Mac OS X Snow Leopard on the window management front. They pop visually, they're fun to use, and most importantly, they're useful ways of managing windows. But that doesn't mean you can't tweak them, and for people who want more out of their Aero, there's AquaSnap. AquaSnap is a free utility for Windows that does all that, and much more. And what’s even more exciting, AquaSnap works on older versions of Windows  as well, so you can now use this feature (and some others) when working with Windows XP or 2000 (or even Vista).

Key Features:

  • Can resize windows to half screen and quarter screen.
  • Multi-monitor compatible.
  • Works with child windows of Multiple Document Interface (MDI).
  • Skinnable interface.
  • Multilingual GUI.

  • 100% highly optimized native code (C++).
  • Low memory consumption (~1MB).
  • CPU consumption close to zero.
  • MSI package easily installable over an enterprise network.

You can set application windows to become semi-transparent when moving or when shaken, as well as specify whether you want to have windows snap like true Aero windows or snap with AquaSnap's custom snapping that enables all edges of the monitor.

AquaSnap is an excellent customization tool that works well and didn't add any noticeable drag to system resources. You can change whether it runs on start-up, and AquaSnap can also be used to port the Snap/Shake/Peek features to legacy Windows systems, where the program is likely to be most useful.
