SkyDrive is a great cloud service powered by Microsoft. As a product of Microsoft, SkyDrive is deeply integrated in Windows Phone. If you store something in the Office Hub of WP7, they will automatically be synced with your SkyDrive account and stored on the cloud. However, there’s a lot of report (confirmed by Microsoft) from lot’s of user regarding that their documents/files stored in the Office Hub have suddenly been vanished. While recovering them, it shows an alter that those files cannot be recovered as they got deleted from the server. Well, there’s an alternate method to follow.
So how to recover those “deleted” files? The procedure have been published on Windows Phone’s official blog. Just follow the steps below.
- Go to the Office hub on your phone. For safety. if you don’t have copies of the files anywhere, store any existing documents on your phone elsewhere, so that you have a copy. You can mail them to yourself
- Go to Settings option once you have secured the existing document.
- Now go to the Applications section.
- Select Office from the Application.
- Now tap the Reset Office button. (If you get a message like Office could not be reset, then reboot your phone and try again). You are now done.
The missing documents will now should be available there. Repeat the process if not succeeded.
