Ubuntu 12.04 AKA Precise Pangolin Alpha 1 Released

On this 1st December, the first Alpha version of Ubuntu 12 aka Precise Pangolin has been released. While the final version of Ubuntu 12 is scheduled for April 26th, 2012 – this release came out to give you a small test of what it looks like. While in Alpha, this version is not yet anyway stable or safe for work, it is not recommended to use on an important purpose and also not if the user needs something stable to hang with.

So what’s new in this Precise Pangolin alpha build? Let’s mention some of it:

• Linux Kernel version 3.2.0-2 used.
• Firefox 9 beta and Thunderbird 9 beta integrated
• Rhythmbox is now the default Music app.
• Banshee, gbrainy and Tomboy have been removed
