VLC Media Player is one of the most popular multimedia program available yet. It is a complete free open-source media player with cross-platform support that runs on Windows, Mac, Linux and even on iPhone. Many people use this tool as primary/default multimedia player on their machine because it is free, it supports different platform, allows to run almost all popular audio and video format and can play CD/DVD and even Blue-Ray Disc. However, very few people knows about another feature of VLC that can be very useful. This software also acts as a converter that allows you to convert video/audio files from one format to another easily. Thus one single tool can power your Multimedia experience for free. First download and install VLC Media Player on your system and run it. Once run, you will get the main window of the player. Click on Media > Covert/Save to access to the Open Media windows.
From here, click on Add to add media file(s) on the queue list.
Once you have added all files on the queue list, click on the Down Arrow icon just left on the Cancel button. From the opened list, click on on Convert. Alternatively, you can use Windows + C hotkey.
Now from the next window, select Destination Folder where the converted file(s) will be saved. Then select one Profile to convert media to that profile settings. Once everything is done, click on Start to start converting file(s).
You can also edit, delete or add new profile with custom conversion value.
