During its participation in Mobile World Congress 2013, held in Barcelona this week, Opera Software announced several new features. Among them, a new partnership, the results of the Opera Web Pass and a tool that gives mobile operators a new way to market mobile internet packages through credits. Opera Web Pass

According to a study on State of Mobile Web Report, 52% of all Opera Web Pass solutions sold for the month were obtained by customers who had already purchased the pass before. The process is easy and 77% of those who initiated the transaction, completed the purchase. Flexibly and efficiently, the Opera Web Pass offers subscriptions that vary according to the time of access, content or a combination of both.

The user accesses the Opera Web Pass site and choose the best suitable option, which can be measured by time or data traffic to specific sites. After the pass is activated, the Opera Mini client surfs the internet at will until it expires. Soon, customers in 18 countries where this system will be used, will able to surf the internet buying the pass.

Mediaworks

The Opera also announced the official release of Opera Mediaworks, global solution leader in mobile advertising. The company focuses on providing ads, content distribution and monetization services for the global mobile market. Opera Mediaworks offers service to 80,000 sites and mobile applications, managing more than 50 billion ad impressions per month and delivering over 400 million dollars to publishers.

I WIT Digital

Another announcement was the partnership with I WIT Digital, which produces Android tablet for children among other products. The product will feature Opera Mobile and Opera Mobile Store preinstalled offering a range of free apps.
